Lots of activities...

Hello Friends and Families,

As usual, there are a lot of activities going on here at school, and I love filling you all in each week. First, this week we honored our chess club team in praise chapel on Monday. They competed this past Saturday at BGA and placed 6th out of 20 teams. Three of our young friends, Matthan Smith, Eric Garner, and Fabricio Farghaly (see picture to the right) helped bring home the trophy. Way to go, Chess Club!!

**Way to go, elementary Chorus!! Our singers did an amazing job this morning in chapel! I am so proud of them! We have a very talented group of students, and I love to see them use those talents to bring praise and honor to our Heavenly Father.

We also had our first dress-up day for Make-A-Wish. Our students had the "serious look" going on, and they were incredibly cute! I can't say thank you enough for all the participation we had yesterday. This money goes to an important cause, and this service project is being done school wide. Our elementary friends have started off great, and we have another opportunity to participate next week. On March 14, we will have "backwards day" or jeans and an Ezell T-shirt day (just be sure to bring your $2). Thank you again for supporting our project! THERE ARE PICTURES OF OUR "SERIOUS DAY" FRIENDS UNDER THE "WORK/FRIENDS" tab!

PTO:
Calling all parents!! The PTO welcomes all parents and teachers to join the PTO to share your ideas, raise your concerns, and contribute your talents to enhance Ezell-Harding and our community. I encourage all parents and teachers to join the PTO (I have, and you can too) by completing the membership form linked on the top right of this blog; (it says, "PTO MEMBERSHIP FORM!! CLICK HERE!!"). By becoming a member, you will be included on all their communications/e-mails, and you can contact them with ideas/thoughts you may have.  The PTO Board appreciates any time you can offer; it helps us all to create even more successful programs and events for our Ezell-Harding students.  Thank you in advance for your support!  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!

**Also next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. We love, LOVE our teachers and all the hard work they devote and dedication they have to teaching our precious students. The PTO is sponsoring this event. Here is what is happening each day:
*Monday, give your teacher an appreciation card.
*Tuesday, bring your teacher a flower.
*Wednesday, teacher pot luck luncheon.
*Thursday, give the teachers a break, coffee and treats in lounge.
*Friday, free drink coupon to Sonic.

We also have a Spirit Night at Chick-Fil-A in Smyrna on March 15th!! I really hope everyone can come out and fellowship with one another!

Marathon:
We are all having loads of fun training for the Country Music Kids Half-Marathon. We are running a mile after school four days a week (Mon., Tues., Thurs., and Fri.) There is still an opportunity to sign up online and join our team! We will be training up till the big day. On April 27, the students will complete their 26th mile which ends on LP field. It is an exciting event to participate in, so please feel free to join us!! I will have to say it is a great feeling of accomplishment for all!!

Jump Rope for Heart:
Don't forget tomorrow is "jump day", and we need all our donations and pledges in by then. If we reach our goal of $5,000, Coach Riley and Coach Leebrick will kiss a pig (ANYBODY HAVE ACCESS TO A PIG WE CAN USE?) Also, if we reach our goal, I will be put in jail for a day! Our top 30 fundraisers will get snow cones!
